CHS & SMC Spring Fair
Chiswick House School and St Martin's College recently hosted their annual Spring Fair on the grounds of St Martin's College, Swatar. The fair attracted a very large crowd of past and present students and their families who all came together to share in the various activities and
events that took place throughout the day.
The events of the day started with Holy Mass that was celebrated in the College Chapel. For the rest of the day a number of attractions kept young and old busy while DJ Malcolm Galea provided the background music. The little ones were particularly interested in the bouncy castles, pony rides, balloon modelling, glitter tattoos and face painting. Older children enjoyed Segway rides, human fly trap, go%u2010karts, a bungee run and competing at the gladiator duel.
Throughout the day a number of shows kept the audience entertained. Gymnasts from the Chiswick gymnastics advance group and the ISC gymnastics club put up a demonstration of precision and talent that was very well received by the crowd present. Karin from JungleSpirit
made sure everybody got on their feet during her Zumba class, while the Sliema Scouts Group provided activities for the older children. The St Martin's College Taekwando Academy also put up a show of technique and skill during their taekwondo demonstration.
Families opted to stay throughout the day and enjoyed a barbequed Sunday lunch while also having an opportunity to stroll around the stalls. These sold a variety of items ranging from olive oil to ceramics and from jewellery to cup cakes.
